INTERNATIONAL ATLATL SOCIETY ACCURACY COMPETITION (IASAC) THE TARGET:
The
target used in the International Atlatl Society Accuracy Competition (IASAC)
is a standard 122cm (about 4' in diameter) Olympic Archery Target. The
scoring from the outside ring in is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and,
there is an inner 10 ring that shall serve as the X.
Hitting
inside the inner 10 ring shall be posted as an X or 10x for score sheet
purposes. The X is for tie breaking but still counts
as a 10.
The
targets can be purchased through archery stores or through the internet. Example: www.lancasterarchery.com (Located in Lancaster
PA, near Harrisburg PA) sells 3 makers’ Olympic (FITA) 122cm targets:
1.
Maple Leaf, PB122cm, FITA Lic # 1, ($6.99 each, less for 50 or more). Printed on medium grade poster board.
2.
JVD “Reinforced”, 122cm, FITA Lic # 3 ($5.99 each, less for 50
or more). Has ˝ “ grid pattern of nylon string sandwiched
between two sheets of paper. JVD

3.
Arrowhead, 122cm, FITA Lic # 7, ($5.99 each, less for 50 or more).
Printed on a single sheet of paper that has the same feel as a
dollar bill.
The
target: The target does not have numbers on it. The point count per color
is as follows, from the outside
in:
White 1 and 2 Black 3
and 4 Blue 5 and 6 Red 7 and 8 Yellow 9 and 10 and X
